We had a lovely peaceful sleep last night, no noise at all other than the cockerel crowing in the morning. The weather was lovely so we headed out with the dogs for a walk on the meadow. As Georgie had been so good in Lisa's being off the lead and her recall we decided to let her off the lead to run around the meadow. She was very good to start with but then she saw a cat and ran after it. She would not come back to us at all and eventually ended up stuck in the owners yard. It was so embarrassing having to wake the owner up to ask him if we could get Georgie out of his yard. She will not be going off the lead again unless we are in a secure field, naughty dog.
After finally catching Georgie we had a good cooked breakfast and did some chores around the campervan.
At 1pm Peter and Jodie came to pick me up to take me out to lunch, I was going to leave the dogs with John but we decided to take them with us instead. We had a lovely lunch at the White Horse in Ampfield. Excellent food and lovely staff who brought treats for the dogs. We then went for a walk in the field next door before heading off to do some shopping in the Garden Centre. A lovely afternoon.
The dogs enjoyed it as well and Georgie and Hugo had great fun playing in the field together. However Hugo did pick up some bad habits from Georgie of jumping over the back seat of the car.
We headed back to the campsite for a very relaxing afternoon sitting overlooking the meadow.
We sat outside until the light started to fade and then we were treated to a deer in the distance. It was a bit too far away for photos. However when we went inside we left the curtains open and then we saw more deer a little closer.
