So a very pleasant overnight stop at Wheaton Aston, we had a late start whilst we waited for the garage to open and get some gas. Then we started our cruise, no locks, just a gentle cruise along the canal. We headed towards Little Onn and then onto Lord Tabot’s Wharf. A slow cruise through the English countryside which was to be honest a bit boring and very isolated. Gnosall had lovely moorings and two pubs but believe it or not John and I went through Gnosall and kept going for Norbury. We got to Norbury at 12.30 and were hoping to have a nice hot shower and do our washing, however the facilities were all closed at Norbury. However the wharf staff offered us a service wash so we at least got the clothes washed. We headed as usual to the Junction Inn, a very nice pub and had a glass of wine and cider and then went back to the boat. Norbury Junction was a very pleasant overnight stay.
